THE STORY

HAPPY TEAS

Hi! I am Sandra.

My interest of actually making natural remedies myself started with me and my partner growing some herbs on our balcony when I had just moved to Perth from Stockholm. Delighted with the sheer fact that it wasn't dark for six months of the year and that thing that you put in a pot actually might survive, I absolutely filled the little space up with all kinds of herbs and plants and also started conserving them (I actually had that much abundance, I thought, it was amazing!). Luckily, a year after, we were able to move in to a house with a small garden. We quite instantly filled it up with all sorts of yummy herbs and vegetables and that spring I also managed to do a cert II in horticulture at the local Tafe, which gave me some extra knowledge about gardening.

Then, really just by chance, I started out making some teas for my friends who needed them for different problems or situations. After a while my partner indicated (strongly) to me that I should really give this tea-business a go. So I decided, carefully at first, to try to expand my tea-making into a business and realized that I really enjoyed the entrepreneurial side of it as well. So I did a lot of research on marketing and legalities and started making my standard production, which is the one you can find on the web page at the moment.

The idea of Happy Teas is that it should be easy to choose natural remedies over pharmaceutical. Therefor I try to keep the products as simple as possible, without loosing out on effect or taste, so that you as a costumer can easily find what you need even if this might be your first experience of buying herbal remedies. Moreover, I want costumers to know why the product is good for them, which is something I often miss when buying "remedy teas". So rather than generic lines like "restful lavender" and such I will send each customer an email with an explanatory note explaining the content of the product (it can also be found if you click on all the different teas under the link "       ").  I try to also source my material and ingredients as local as possible (as well as selling locally). I don't just want to be another brand but a local presence along with my products so that all costumers can feel safe with what they buy!
